We have enjoyed all of the Rebel Girls books, and (Amazon affiliate link) Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Immigrant Women Who Changed the World is no exception. However, I will say that is probably our least favorite in the series. The stories in the Rebel Girls books are limited to a page, and it felt like many of the women in this book needed more information to fully appreciate their accomplishments. It also seemed that a lot of the feats in this book targeted more personal accomplishments rather than changing the world in some way or breaking glass ceilings. The illustrations were good, but the vast differences between artist’s styles didn’t always blend well throughout the book. Overall, if this is the only exposure to some of these women your child will have, it is a good book. However, we have liked some other books about this topic much better.
